Time, As We Don’t Know It, 2021
A thirty page story accompanied by a storyboard that talks about an alternative way of looking at time, inspired by the extended present. A character discovers a furry giant in his neighborhood and quickly develops an obsession for the creature, and for the way it sees time.

This project was the research stage of my graduation film ‘It Escapes, Irretrievable Time’ that I made in 2022. I tried to learn as much about time as possible, whether it was the scientific side, the spiritual or cultural side, or the perceptions of time the people had around me. I ended up imagining and writing about this world where time was not lineair, trying to put myself in the shoes of a person who changes his time reference slowly.
Eventually, I realized that my human brain was not fully able to, and so for my graduation project I went back to the lineair time reference. I tried to see time realistically to tackle my struggles with feeling the pressure of time, instead of seeing it fantastically and magically - as something that exists all-at-once -, because this is something that us humans simply can’t wrap our heads around (yet).
